Ameris Bank Donates Company Shirts to Disadvantaged Mexican Village.

Moultrie, GA, Ameris Bank, a full-service financial institution, announced in late 2006 the consolidation of the corporation into a single bank subsidiary to be called Ameris Bank. Promotional items for the company were replaced to reflect the name change and with this replacement, Ameris Bank was left with the challenge of recycling items with the company’s former name. An opportunity presented itself to donate unused company shirts to a disadvantaged Mexican village and Ameris Bank is proud to announce that in early 2008, shirts were delivered to the villagers of Villa Ortega Gonzales.

A local Baptist church in Moultrie proceeded on a mission to Villa Ortega Gonzales to build a Baptist Church in the rural village. The church officials contacted Ameris Bank for a contribution to the mission and the company happily donated over 1200 shirts to the villagers.
